Your Time At The Refuge
Our program includes time for reflection, community, working, and accountability.
Discovery
Men spend their first 30–45 days focusing on themselves, identifying and beginning to address the underlying issues that led to addiction. During this time, residents enter a safe and structured environment that is free from many of the external pressures and distractions of everyday life, allowing them to focus fully on their healing and recovery.
Relational
Men will be based in Lancaster as they continue focusing on their personal growth. During this time, they will also begin rebuilding relationships with friends and family. Residents will participate in group and individual mental health and substance use counseling as they work toward a healthier life.
Application
Residents move to Columbus full-time and begin working part-time or full-time while continuing their recovery journey. This phase helps men learn to navigate the daily responsibilities and pressures of work and life while building healthy routines. Throughout this time, residents continue receiving counseling, case management, and strong community support as they prepare for long-term stability and success.
Launch
Residents in the final phase focus on preparing for life after The Refuge. They live in recovery housing alongside other men committed to sobriety while working toward stable employment, transportation, and long-term housing. This phase helps men build sustainable routines and remain connected to Refuge alumni for ongoing support and accountability as they transition back into everyday life.
